finally

After a couple of trips to Rackham Graduate School, I have got the certificate which proves that I am capable of finishing whatever I had to finish.

One more trip to the bindery store and then I will be done with it.

Sidenote: I need to see a real doctor. The pain in my left abdomen still bothers me. It has been there for over a month.

an awesome day

I had tons of fun with friends. I have been trying to give people what they need. And I have picked up a friendship that I thought was long gone.

Friday!!!

It's Friday! And I look forward to a few activities that have been planned for this weekend. Tonight Jinli and I are going to this culture show held by Rackham. I am usually not a big fan of this kind of things, but it's fun to hang out with a friend on a Friday night and get some free food.

Tomorrow I will have dim sum with a couple of friends and catch up with things going on in our lives. Again, hang out with friends and have some delicous food. You can't beat this, right? In the afternoon, I will go visit Xin in Canton. She has been like a sister to me. It will be awesome to spend some time with her before I leave.

Then on Sunday after the church service, a few friends and I will go to the cider mill in Plymouth! I have been expecting this for years, literally! We will have fresh cider and donuts, pick apples and pet some farm animals. Woohoo!

Another news is that my advisor signed off the form. So after submitting everything next Monday to Rackham Graduate School, I will officially be a Doctor and will be taking appointments (just kidding, but the doctor part is true).

sick

I am having a sore throat and a headache. Also, I am feeling irritated by some discussion that took place earlier.

Today is not a good day for me. Maybe I should go home and have some rest.

ahhhhhhh

Where did the week go?! I need my time back.

So many things to do. Can't wait to get them done and go up north for Rachel's wedding. But then the question is: how?

First, do not panic. That's what the hitchhiker's guild to the galaxy told me. Good advice.

back to AA

The trip was smooth. There was no traffic at all during the Chicago area, for the first time. So it only took me ~ 7 hours and 15 minutes from door to door.

I went to the church on Sunday. After the service, Brian and I had lunch and caught up with our lives. Ciara stayed with us for a while. Later Demoree also came to join us. We had some pretty good conversation mainly regarding christianity, or at least that's what I felt. It solved some of my puzzles.

I had good food three nights in a row. Jin and I went to Grizzly Peak on Saturday, and on Sunday we had dinner with Natasha at Applebee's. Tonight Natasha cooked salmon for us in her apartment. Oh, tomorrow we will have some home-made cheesecake.

It was all good. I feel somehow tired. There seems to be something wrong with my health condition. Sometimes my heart aches, literally. And I sweat more easily. It's not a big deal, but I definitely need to pick up some exercises and get myself back into shape.

today: David Ferrer vs. Rafael Nadal

Nadal's left knee was injured. I hope it has been better. This US Open might not be the right time yet for him to get back to Federer. Too bad!

Sidenote: Last night it was funny to watch Federer against Lopez. They were like twins, getting lots of points from the aces. If Lopez hadn't met Federer this early, he might have been able to enter around round. And he is so handsome. :)

Nadal lost. It breaks my heart.
